This EP contains two remixes of the second single from Bruce Springsteen's Human Touch album done by "Little" Steven Van Zandt, a member of Springsteen's former backup group, The E Street Band. The remixes are dominated by soundbites from television, circa 1992, especially references to the Los Angeles riot and Vice President Dan Quayle's controversial remarks about the Murphy Brown TV show. The disc's 23-and-a-half minute running time is filled out by "There's A Riot Goin' On," a third, more radical remix of "57 Channels (And Nothin' On)," that retains little of the original song beyond its chorus and rhythm track, and the non-album song "Part Man, Part Monkey." ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
