This long out-of-print album was a strong set. Sonny Bono was never a great singer and tended to tarnish Cher's vocals at times. However, this Southern-rock with Gregg Allman's smoky growl made for Cher's best duet material bringing out similar qualities in her voice. Since this was music she cared about, her interpretive skills were more credible. ~ Bil Carpenter, All Music Guide
