In terms of sound quality, the bootleggers of the 1990s tended to have much higher standards than their 1960s and 1970s counterparts. While many of the Bruce Springsteen bootlegs that surfaced in the 1990s were soundboard recordings that boasted excellent digital sound which would have pleased an audiophile, Zurich 1993 Revisited is an audience recording offering decent but not excellent sound. Live at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland on April 8, 1993, this two-CD bootleg was probably recorded using some type of small, portable, hand-held digital mini-recorder. It isn't the same as recording from the soundboard; so audiophiles would do well to look elsewhere. But the sound is definitely listenable on enthusiastic performances of gems that range from "Born to Run," "Born in the U.S.A.," "Atlantic City," "Thunder Road," and "Because the Night" to "Lucky Town," "I'm on Fire," "Darkness on the Edge of Town," and "Glory Days." All things considered, this is an enjoyable, if imperfect, bootleg. Because so many Springsteen bootlegs of the 1990s boasted sound that was excellent as opposed to simply decent, however, Zurich 1993 Revisited is also less than essential and is only recommended to hardcore fans. ~ Alex Henderson, All Music Guide
