Heaven and Hell was great! Btw...no one mentioned Thin Lizzy. When Phillip Lynott died, so did one of the greatest rock artists/poets who ever lived. His voice and style were also very unique. John Sykes is immensely talented and I enjoyed the Thin Lizzy concert I saw recently, but Sykes in no Lynott. Scott Gorham's chops were still as sweet and melodic as ever, which was the main reason I went (Gorham, to me, is one of the most under-rated guitarists ever). At this particular show, Lizzy opened for Deep Purple, who without Ritchie Blackmore and Jon Lord, were also not the same. Sometimes, like in the DP/Blackmore case, the guitarist and/or keyboard combo is just as important to the sound as the singer. Bless Ian Gillian, but hang it up already, dude.

Hey Arnel Pineda of Journey has brought new life to the band saw them in concert during the summer they were great!!!! Finally Journey has found someone to bring Journey back to life after several failed attempts since Steve Perry. Hey give Pineda a break he has the pipes and he is as close to Perry as you can get. I do think Perry was the best but..... Pineda is not half bad and from all the sold out concerts I am not the only one who thinks so. As for Van Halen give it up guys David Lee Roth was it.

What a stupid, stupid article. Did Brian Johnson "wreck" AC/DC? No. Did Bruce Dickinson "wreck" Iron Maiden? NO! The band members earned the right to carry on and call their band whatever they want if certain members don't want to be involved any longer. People change...bands change....either deal with it or don't listen to the band anymore.

hehehe Dio is more suited in Sabbath..it just happens that Ozzy is the original frontman..and he has the charisma...but Ronnie James Dio is light years beter than Ozzy..he sounds better, more evil..and he invented the fuckin horn hand sign in Metal..Ozzy's a reality tv show star...and that's a band wrecker. and DIO means GOD....and im a Dio fan that's why.

i was very disappointed when INXS picked JD Fortune as their replacement lead singer. i feel that
there was someone better for the band on that show
that person had better attitude and to me he sang quite a bit better than JD

I agree that Dio and Black Sabbath were a good mix. The Mob Rules was one of the rockinest songs on the soundtrack for Heavy Metal.
As for Led Zeppelin getting a new singer I think everyone can rest easy. Since Bonam died the name has been retired. When Page and Plant get together anymore they don't use it. And when Page teamed up with that band-wrecker Paul Rodgers they were a different entity entirely... The Firm.
But lets face it people... Van Hagar stank!

I don't normally right on these subjects but Guys I agree with you all to a point but, first if you where earning the money these bands still get with these new singers you would do the same thing, most of these bands want to carry on touring and playing as that's their gig and passion.
Most of these replacement singers are all good in their own rights as well and are there for that reason so the term "wannabe" is not really applicable.
Example Jeff Scott Soto who sung with Journey a while back helped them out of a situation whilst a tour was going on and they had no singer. He has sung on more albums and for more artists than any other vocalist in the rock genre of music.

Also, and one other point to those who have written "form another band and start again" you try it its not that easy!
