Celebrity Plastic Surgery
In this month's Harper's Bazaar, "30 Rock" star Tina Fey proclaimed that Botox is not for her and that working out is selfish. Tina's our kind of girl. And her blatant dis of Hollywood's vanity-driven lifestyle choices got us asking that age-old question: Why can't people just be happy with what God gave them? Why is a nose with a bump in it so much worse than a button nose? When did everyone decide that lips had to be big and puffy to be sexy? It's hard not to blame Angelina Jolie, isn't it?
And while some celebs have had their "deviated septums" repaired (wink-wink, nudge-nudge) with tasteful results, others have taken it so far they barely have a nose left at all.
These days so many older stars hardly look their age, it seems obvious that they've spent a lot of money on improvements, even if they deny going under the knife. Other celebrities, however, have owned up to at least some of the work done on their faces over the years, especially when they've been unhappy with the results.
So from least to most tasteful, we give you the best and worst of celebrity plastic surgery (and yes, collagen and Botox DO count).

lifelong said "What people do in their lives its their business..just because he is an actor( so what, that's just a job).. He is human.. let us not forget he too has emotions..shopping spree, love life.. and etc just like the rest of us.. so people that always are interested to know about actors so much.. wanna know what they do and when.. you guys dont have a f***ing life. Get a life.. a job.. a something! See you dont wanna be you!"
fed-up said "Chevy Chase was very funny when he was on SNL. That was a very funny show during the 70s, with the first set of comedians but, like Magic Johnson, Chevy Chase was a flop when he got his own show. And Alf was just too strange--he was just awful--a disaster! I really hated Alf, really did not like that character! Wasn't cute or adorable. Didn't like him at all. Still don't!"
Timo said "C'mon folks, the dude just a cool good actor. I don't care what kind of movie it is as long as Nicolas Cage or Denzel (my other obsession) are in it. His spending? I would buy all that shit especially the houses if I could afford it. Octopus and Cobra? NO. I laughed my ribs off from his admission ...."We come from a long lineage of robbers and highwaymen in Italy. Even killers." Go Nic just don't end up broke like Mike Tyson!"
majik said "eBay was made for people like this. Some of the things owned by Nicholas will go for huge money as long as it does not appear to be a firesale. I enjoy all of his movies and do hope that Mr. Cage can continue to provide the entertainment on and off screen for a very long time to come."
mickey_dees2009 said "It seems to me that some people are forgetting where we live. This is the United States of America! And as such we are entitled to freedoms. If we choose to spend our money on "weird" items, then so be it! Its our money and we can do with it as we wish. Put yourself in his shoes and you would more than likely buy what he is being criticized for. Would you like for the people or the government to tell you what you can and cannot buy or own? NO! Get off it! Nic Cage is a great actor. Period. And as far as 'helping charities , he does help by donating his time and money (money that he worked for) to charities and needy orginations. "Help the the children and people of Kenya"? For those of who still believe in God and doing what is morally right, Take care of what is in your own backyard. Clean up this country and then we will be in better shape to help others. Also, who was it that came up with the website godismichaeljackson, is a fool. Pure and simple.! That is blasphemy 100 % ! No human (dead or alive) can compare to God."
dwightmlee said "You failed to mention that he has one of the biggest egos on the planet! There’s the answer to all your questions. His financial problems – all attributable to his massive ego – but of course he blames them on others – like all the egotists always blame everything – on others!"
jeffreyw4 said "I've always been puzzled by this "brilliant actor" buzz. Nic Cage is a reasonably competent actor and has some emotional range. But he is a one character performer. That is, he ultimately only plays himself. And a lot of his delivery has a sort of monotone blandness to it. By contrast great actors like Philip Seymour Hoffman and Daniel Day Lewis not only can emote (much more convincingly, I would add) but can also take on truly diverse roles. "

There is so much pressure for women to look "perfect" which is why women end up having plastic surgery and or having eating disorders... In this world, it is important for women to "look good." I am a woman and I have personally experienced being treated "better" and getting more "perks" when I am looking my best than when I am looking just "regular" or "not looking so sexy." It's a shame, but it's true... The better a woman looks, then the better she is treated in this society.

I'm not against plastic surgery. I know that some people have it for obvious but private reasons... after weight loss, to remove loose flaps etc.
But I do wonder about some who seem to have it purely for appearances.
There seems to be an element of insecurity there, that they will not be as liked (by others, by themselves, or both) unless they do something about their physical appearance.
And it's not enough to say they might need it to keep in work.
We have a culture of youthful appearance that focuses on the superficial but that has nothing to recommend it. If enough people refused the trend to have PS, it would become less popular and people would be allowed to look like themselves, not like someone they wish they looked like.

Sorry, Dr. Stephen Fletcher did my chin and removed the fat from under my chin and some recent eye work have to give gredit where credit is due, however Dr Michael Kelley is the best at noses in Miami, you can never even tell that it has been altered with becauses he does not go overboard, very conservative, unlike the many othe so-called plastic surgeons who just take your money and they decide what look is best for your face. Lastly, regarding my comment about Michelle from miami Beach Laser spa, I must confesss, I personally would never go to her for Botox again, you are better off paying more, read between the lines... everyone dilutes the botox, however, some dilute it more than others , so you get what you pay for, less money=less Botox....

Any improvement would be good for JOAN ( OMG my plastic fell again)Rivers. Why are most of these people in dollywood so shallow. They have their fame and our money, so they should go gracefully into the night. They just do not get it, your 2 years of fame are done, then they get put on STUPID PILLS and do really dumb things. If you just live a cleaner life style, eat properly, drink lots of water, and relax, life will be good to you. REMEMBER as you age so do all your fans and the people that are around you. they do not see the change, they are changing also

I personally would love to have a little nip & tuck done to enhance what I've been blessed with. After having babies I think for me it's necessary so I can continue to look my optimum best.
