people assume baggy clothing started in gangs but its just that it started in lower income communities where gangs are. it comes from not havin enough money for clothing so the kids got hand me downs from older siblings that were usually bigger so the clothes were baggy. prison clothes have elastic or its a full on jumpsuit

TMBG is still on top of their game. They weren't just 90's stars. They still release adult albums as well as children's albums and they've sold out every show I've been to. I can't believe they threw one of the most inspirational and revolutionary bands of the past 3 decades in the middle of Kid N Play and Slick Rick.

I love that movie Kid 'N' Play were in. Dunken and Blade Brown and Hillary from The fresh Prince of Bel Air. What was the name of that movie? House Party???

This list is so bogus. Several of the so-called "now" photos are from the early 2000s. Geez, do some frickin' research, will ya!??!?!?

We needed a Garbage, Shirley Manson thing here. I was so shocked to see her as a Terminator.

History channel or someone has already talked about this ahile back and they found it did originate from prison as jerzgrown mention it was because of the lack of correct size and no belts, thats what they found anyways. :)

No baggy pants originated from gangs. After committing a crime, if being pursued, they would shed the "baggy" clothing and have different colored clothing underneath. So if questioned by the police the gang member would not fit the profile of the fleeing assailant
