OMG! HAVE SOME OF YOU NOT LEARNED ANYTHING FROM MRS. G AND THE FACTS OF LIFE?

WHAT THE FRIG ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

WHY ARE POLITICS EVEN BEING DISCUSSED & CRAZILY ARGUED?

THE FACTS OF LIFE TAUGHT ON JUST ABOUT EVERY SUBJECT, AND IT'S TOO BAD THERE WEREN'T MORE SHOWS LIKE IT FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO COULD REALLY IDENTIFY WITH IT AND TALK TO THEIR FRIENDS ABOUT IT.

ALSO, IT WAS A GOOD "IN" FOR PARENTS TO TALK TO THEIR KIDS ABOUT SUCH DEEP MATTERS AS DRUGS, ALCOHOLISM, SUICIDE, RAPE, HOMOSEXUALITY, RACISM, DEATH OF PARENT, ETC.

AWESOME 9 YEAR SHOW THAT DEALT WITH TIMELESS ISSUES. ONLY WISH THE JERKS AT SONY WOULD RELEASE ALL NINE SEASONS INSTEAD OF THE FIRST THREE. THOSE "DUNDERHEADS"!

That "Living Single" was FOX's answer to or version of "Friends" is simply untrue. NBC's "Friends" premiered in 1994 -- a year after "Living Single" debuted on FOX.

First of all, I liked both shows. Secondly, there are way too many idiots on this blog. When I read, "Living Single, Fox's answer to Friends", I take it to mean exactly as it says. NBC had a show called "Friends" and FOX had a show called "Living Single". As far as all this racist bulls**t, it is never going to end as long as people keep using skin color as a way to be descriptive. I used to wake up bitter about racism. I no longer do. People didn't change, I did. I decided to concern myself with people who directly affected me. I learned that most people are decent human beings. I am no longer concerned with the idiots of society. Life is so much better without focusing on the color of a person's skin. Great people come in all colors.

Nice to see that the mistake claiming that Living Single was FOX's African American version of Friends was removed, but the Getback content people should have addressed the mistake.

MARY ELLEN HERE:

Update.....just so you all out there in blog land know that my original comment was not out of context.....the blog writers did change their original post for the "NOW" blurb on kim fields......originally it read something to the effect:

Fields went on to appear on Fox's Living Single, the African American version of NBC's Friends.

Now it reads differently and more closer to the truth.

for those that missed the boat and thought i was ranting about nothing: there you have it.

read frankie p's comment for further understanding.

(ps..thanks frankie p and others who got it)

(pps. to the blog writers....its great that you changed the blurb.......its still unacceptable that your original post wasnt researched.....it would have also been good for your to post a note or a "correction" acknowledging your error.......journalism 101 peeps.)

why is it that when there is a chance to reminece about the "good ole' days we have to bring the present with it, the whole idea of reflecting is to enjoy where we were, what we were doing and just smile, who gives a crap what the president is doing right now what the hell does that have to do with TOOTY and JO lol... god, can we not just go down memory lane without bringing this shit with us.. GET A LIFE..
