Billy Mays, OxiClean and Orange Glo salesman and star of the TV series "Pitchmen," died this weekend in his sleep. Mays will go down in history as one of the greatest TV hawkers of all time, and it got us thinking about the best pitches, infomercials, and "direct response advertising" for products we didn't even know we needed, from Ginsu knives and the Chia Pet, to Ron Popeil's Pocket Fisherman and the George Foreman Grill.
