10. "Evening Shade"
Burt Reynolds starred as Woodrow "Wood" Newton, an ex-profession football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers who returns to his home town, Evening Shade, Arkansas to coach the down-on-their-luck high school football team. The supporting cast included: Marilu Henner who played his wife, Ava Evans Newton; Hal Holbrook as Wood's father-in-law, Evan Evans; Ossie Davis as owner of the Barbecue Villa, Ponder Blue; Charles Durning as Dr. Harlan Eldridge; and Michael Jeter as assistant coach, Herman Stiles.
