Garth Brooks, boot store salesman
Although you wouldn't guess it now by his country gut, Garth Brooks used to be a jock. He played football in high school and received a track scholarship to Oklahoma State University (he threw javelin; imagine that for a sec.). When he turned to music after college, he was still presumably buff enough to work as a bouncer at an Oklahoma nightclub. Not a great living, but it did introduce Brooks to his first wife, Sandy. He's since ditched her for Trisha Yearwood.

I thought Simon LeBon of Duran Duran would've made this list. Before joining the group, he was a hospital porter, a milkman's assistant and a tree surgeon!! I think he's best as vocalist...without a doubt!
