Archie was an uneducated, outspoken, close-minded bigot, who seldomly found the good in anyone, while Mike (or Meathead to Archie) was a long-haired, liberal, hippie college student, who often went to anti-war protests or wrote letters to Congressmen. But the pair had one thing in common: Gloria. And so they lived with the differences and in some weird way even came to appreciate them.

No one with even half a brain cares what these two hacks think. "American Idol" and it's Older Sibling in the UK, are perfect illustrations of everything that is wrong with music today. Wonderful talents like The Beatles, The Kinks or Nick Drake would never flourish in the environment created where a few, apparently clueless, taste-makers choose who we get to see and listen to, and pontificate on their own useless tastes and preferences. Take this dreck off the air before we are subjected to yet another season of mediocrity!
