The Cast of "Project Runway"
Now that the Weinstein Company has finally settled its court case with NBC Universal and is moving its popular "Project Runway" from the NBC-owned Bravo to Lifetime for good, Bravo's wasted no time in creating a replacement, "The Fashion Show." While we're hopeful that the network will dazzle us with its reality TV mastery and that the inclusion of Isaac Mizrahi as its Tim Gunn, Kelly Rowland as its Heidi Klum, and an audience vote may help spice things up, we can't help but think, "How unoriginal can you get?" In fact, the term "blatant rip-off" comes to mind.
Of course, it won't be the first time a series has lifted, or, should we say, "been inspired by" another series' premise. Here are some we think justly paid homage to previous shows, and others, not so much.
