I agree Cusack does not get enough credit. He is a good actor.

It may need to be Winona - the last public image was a bit negative - she could definitely have a great comeback story.

Hollywood comebacks are all chance -- there is so much competition out there! Although Mickey Rourke winning the Oscar would have been such a coup!! Too bad Sean Penn "stole" that moment from him

Nic Cage probably gets plenty of good scripts. What he needs is someone to talk him into accepting one of them. His action movie career is by his own choice.

Ellen Barkin is someone who should be up there. She deserves a great script and starring role. She's given some wonderful performances e.g., "Switch" etc and usually plays the tough babe. She might look for something a little gentler and she could play it too although I can imagine her in a remake of that terrific film "I Want To Live", the old Susan Hayward film and redone with Lindsey Wagner to no effect.

Burt Reynolds is good now, as a character actor and that's where he belongs. He could win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor too with the right role.

I wouldn't put John Cusack in the same category as the rest of the others and especially in one that includes Rouke. Cusack is always working and he's so good at what he does. It's his sister Joan who should have been up there instead of John. She's given so many funny moments in film, usually in support so she needs a starring role in a great comedy. She'd be a shoe-in for an Oscar.

Someone else I'd liek to see come back--Leslie Ann Warren, who played James Garner's the blonde bimbo/moll in "Victor/Victoria" and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Since then she's played the same type several times and that was a mistake but she's also done those LifeTime films and this woman can act. Comedy or drama, I'd love to see her in a good role again.
