The Replacement Actors
Who didn't love "Welcome Back, Kotter"? The Sweathogs. Mr. Koh-ter. "Up your nose with a rubber hose." That John Sebastian theme song. Classic stuff.
But by season four, major changes were underway at James Buchanan High. John Travolta was a megastar in hit films like "Grease" and "Saturday Night Fever" (not to mention his awe-inspiring turn in "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble"), and he wanted to focus on movie projects. Mr. Kotter himself, comedian Gabe Kaplan, who had created the series based on his own high-school years, was fed up creatively and feuding with producer James Komack, so he went back to stand-up. Both actors would appear only sporadically.
Stephen Shortridge was hired to fill the gaps left by their departures as handsome young Southern transfer student Beauregarde "Beau" De Labarre. This addition, along with amped-up parts for Mr. Woodman and Mrs. Julie Kotter, just wasn't enough, and that rocky fourth season proved to be the show's ticket out.

Add Jessica Alba for sure. One person overlooked here is ABSOLUTELY spectacular. Just watch the You Tube videos of Walker: Texas Ranger and watch Nia Peebles using her skills. Her kicks are incredible and none of the men have a chance against her skills. She is truly spectacular aslo."
jleii said "To my homosexual friends: Please forgive my Christian brothers and sisters for their ignorant and misguided ways. Their hearts are in the right place, but they've allowed religion (man's way to get to God) to cloud the beauty of JESUS (God's way of getting to man). Jesus dined and hung out with all kinds. He spent time with prostitutes, tax collectors, and (although they aren't mentioned) I'm sure HE spent time with homosexuals. Jesus loved ALL mankind. HE died ONCE - for ALL. He didn't die for the baptists only, or once for the Catholics only. He died once for ALL mankind. It is up to the individual if he/she wants a personal relationship with HIM. He will never reject you or force you to change. The legalistic Christians love to pick on the homosexuals Does it ever strike you as odd that the obeste judgemental Christians are doing all the judging, and no one questions them about the sinfulness of gluttony or judging others? It IS a sin to over-eat and it's a sin to judge, but that doesn't stop the legalists from hating on homos. With that being said, homosexuality is considered a sin - anything that makes your life harder is a sin. God wants to protect us from things that make our lives harder. He's not going to make you burn for being gay, but you will find discrimination, higher disease rates, and a world of closing doors. God wants to protect you and wants your life to be great. When you allow things to come into your life that makes your life harder, you essentially tie God's hands. With all this being said, I have many friends who are gay and are Christian. Being Gay IS a sin (the bible says so), but so is gossping, judging, over-eating (the list goes on and on). If you welcome Jesus into your heart, HE will accept you into HIS kingdom just as you are and HE will keep you for all eternity. You don't have to fix yourself first, you don't have to jump through any hoops - you only have to believe HE did it all on the cross and HE loves you so much that HE was willing to die for you. I'm not asking you to be straight, I'm just asking you to ask yourself if you know for sure where you're going. Jesus loves you as you are, and HE'll never turn you away. "
Fox12 said "Actually it was the end of the third season (1993) of BH 90210 when Brenda (Shannen Doherty)and the crew graduated from West Bev. In the beginning of season four is when it was written in that Brenda would go back to Minnesota to go to college. But she was still very much on the show. Brenda decided to move back to Beverly Hills and joined her friends at Cal U. It was at the end of season four when when Brenda was offered a summer slot in an acting school in London. When season five began her twin brother Brandon explained that Brenda got a full scholorship in the program for a year."

Here's two that were missed:
Roseanne
Becky played by Alicia (Lecy) Goranson and Sarak Chalke..
The Dukes of Hazzard
Bo and Luke Duke (John Schneider and Tom Wopat) replaced by
Coy and Vance Duke (Byron Cherry and Christopher Mayer).
The Becky character worked....the Duke boys DIDN"T.

Chris Noth was excellent on Criminal intent why anyone would think that jeff goldblum could replace him or anyone for that matter. He is a dull, dreary man. I'll watch the reruns instead.

Keep Grey's Anatomy like it is. I hope Izzie stays and I would like to see Kelly and her pediatric doctor develop their relationship. It is important for the audience to see how gay relationships develop. Everything else should stay the same/

I really don't think Jeff Goldblum is any credit to the program. He was a has been before he even got started. He is fine for roles where he keeps his mouth shut. He is best fitted chasing other has been "Dinasoaurs" ie; jarassic park!!! If the writers think that the humourus comercial where he agrues with his female cop partner about how things might be currently done is a credit to this show then the show will only be doomed for failure! Lets face it this program is no NCIS, or CSI MIAMI, CSI NEW YORK, HOUSE these are the shows people are watching.

How about Dick York being replaced by Dick Sargent as the SAME PERSON, Darrin Stephens in Bewitched. How weird was that?

Another replacement to note is Jon Lovitz replacing Phil Hartman (after his death) in NewsRadio. Lovitz didn't replace the character of Phil, but Lovitz's character was a friend of Phil's character in the show. Lovitz did the role as a tribute to Phil, who was his real-life friend.
