Most of the break-ups were fun to watch but the Bachelor break up was cruel and not in the least bit fun. This show lost a lot of viewers because of it, in short, The Bachelor has written its' own epitaph....good riddance. (I hope).

Worst TV Breakups

Chris Harrison has been promising the most dramatic rose ceremony of all time and tonight he FINALLY delivered. We will never doubt him again. Okay, the drama actually unfolded was "After The Final Rose." You see, Jason Mesnick, the single dad and all around nice guy "Bachelor," took breaking hearts to a whole new level. First he chose Melissa over Molly in the final rose ceremony and then ten minutes (okay, ten minutes in TV time, six weeks in real life time) later, he told Melissa that he didn't love her, he loved Molly. ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. C'mon, even that creepy English Bachelor dude had the grace to break up Lorenzo Lamas' daughter off-camera. Jason proved once again that TV love can be so cold. The highs and lows. The broken promises. The mixed signals, like say an engagement ring and a request to wed. Even seemingly solid couples can find themselves in the middle of ratings driven splits. Since misery loves company, we wanted to share our list of worst TV break-ups with Melissa to try to help her get through this insanely difficult time.
