I said "Well I don't give these 'singers' my money. I am just doing my part to point out that just because the radio plays a song doesn't make it one that is worth listening to. Sadly so many talented singers and bands are overlooked because of lack of promotion, sex appeal, money, etc. It is really our fault for not demanding better as a whole. I call most of the 'music' out there now Processed Music. Like processed cheese, filling, but is a cheap and unhealthy replacement to the real thing. Can we say Melinda Doolittle? That girl has more talent in her pinky than most divas and starlets out there. Shame, music, like Mtv, has lots its focus."
I said "Rhianna is another. Her voice is nasally. Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne."
I said "Chevy Chase"
I said "Agreed, and agreed. I think Danny Devito could be added to this list, as well as Martin Short (who I find irritating and not funny), Tina Fey (another who annoys me), the Scary Movie and all similar catastrophes, Wayan Brothers in General, Tim Allen for all the stupid Santa Clause films, Dane Cook, Rob Schneider, Chris Kattan...list will go on."
I said "I am going to add some more that should be named: Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, Britney, New Kids on the Block, The Beatles, Amy Whinehouse, Macy Gray, Beyonce`, Mary J Blige, Faith Hill live, Nickleback....I will think of more later. My list does not mean some, and I emphasize some, do not have talent, but that I think they are overrated and I do change the station when they come on. I will give talent to Beyonce`'s dancing, The Beatles influence, Britney's dancing and maybe Mary J for being a strong woman...but singing and great songs I would say, as in the voice of Destiny's Child, No, No, No!"
I said "U2 is by far my favorite band. They have produced some of the most influential songs in my life to include: With or Without You, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Where the Streets Have No Name, Beautiful Day, Sometimes You Can't Make It...just to name a few. They are influential because my mood can be changed by listening to them. Good, bad, it is powerful stuff. I realize not everyone in the world likes or even respects this band, but they are talented, are passionate about music, and have carved their niche into music history. Bono, I believe, is a good person and deserves his fame and my respect."
